Robert J. Nagy, CPA, CGMA
Bob has over 50 years of experience with domestic and international tax planning and compliance; finance and operations; merger and acquisition evaluation and planning; capital acquisition and structuring; private placements, public offerings, and SEC compliance and reporting. He also has significant audit and financial reporting experience.
As the Managing Director of Meridian Services, a principal focus has been in the area of sophisticated tax planning and compliance with a heavy emphasis on international issues. He works closely with international business and tax attorneys to coordinate domestic and foreign tax matters, including asset protection strategies through domestic and off-shore entities. He also assists clients with capital formation and financing, accounting system design and controls, operation reviews, business plan development, and due diligence services.
Prior to forming Meridian Services in 1995, he served for four years as CFO for a public company in Charleston. Prior to that he was managing partner of a mid-size local accounting firm in Columbia, SC, and was a senior tax manager for a national CPA firm.
Since mid-1998, Bob has spent a significant amount of his time working with a biotech company (ImmunoScience, Inc.) engaged in HIV vaccine research and development. As CFO for the company he was responsible for managing all finance and accounting functions, including tax planning and strategy for the company which includes a U.S. parent with four foreign subsidiaries.
Bob has served as an instructor for courses sponsored by the AICPA and the SCACPA (principally tax), and has developed several courses that he instructed for the SCACPA. He is a long-time member of the AICPA Tax Section, and is a member of the AICPA Forensic and Valuation Services Section.

Raquel Jurado Biascoechea, JD, CPA
Raquel has over 30 years of experience in audit, financial reporting, controllership and supervisory functions, as well as tax reporting and compliance. She has significant expertise in the construction, hospitality and biotech sectors. She has been responsible for overall financial reporting for ten entities encompassing 90 operating units, including monthly management reports detailing segmented departmental results, treasury functions, projections and forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
In addition to her public accounting experience, Raquel has served in several controllership positions, as well as clerking for the Puerto Rico Court of Appeals. Raquel is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

J.D. (Magna Cum Laude) Interamerican University Law School; B.S. (Business Administration) (Magna Cum Laude) College of New Rochelle; over 700 hours in various accounting, tax, financial reporting, and management continuing education courses.
